Liran Simon

A graduate of Tel-Hai College with a major in Communication and Television, Liran’s journey with professional journalism began during his studies, following the “Helicopter Disaster.” Initially, he worked with the Israel Broadcasting Authority as part of the “Multicam” company in the north and later as a cameraman, editor, and sometimes even a reporter.

In 2004, Liran joined Channel 2 News, starting as a video editor and then becoming the head of the Knesset Channel’s broadcast room, where he played a key role in the planning and transition to Israel’s first tape-less control room.

Liran later moved to the MCR (Master Control Room) as a broadcast supervisor, where he took part in and managed countless live broadcasts that became a part of Israel’s history. Over time, he began operating the news broadcast vehicle, covering numerous live news and other events.

In 2016, Liran transitioned to the international i24 channel, which airs simultaneously in the U.S. and Europe. In his role, he was responsible for the Jerusalem area, handling production, filming, and international live broadcasts, establishing broadcast stations via satellite, fiber, and internet (LiveU, etc.).

In 2018, Liran started working at Channel 20 as the technical director, where he promoted and developed various advanced broadcasting methods.

With the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic and numerous changes in the established systems, Liran decided to leave the major networks, join Shlomi, and embark on an independent journey. He stepped away from the world of journalism to bring his extensive knowledge and experience to the company’s clients.
